Sydney
Following its debut at the 2024 Venice Biennale, Monument returns to Sydney with a striking selection of large-scale sculptures. Originally exhibited at the prestigious Giardini della Marinaressa and the Fondamenta dei Sette Martiri, these sculptural works were presented in collaboration with the European Cultural Centre. The exhibition continues its global journey, bringing international contemporary sculpture to local shores.
Now installed inside Westfield Bondi Junction - alongside a few new works by the same artists - these impactful pieces continue Monument’s mission to bring ambitious public art into everyday spaces. This exhibition reimagines the shopping centre as a cultural platform, bridging global and local contexts, and making contemporary sculpture accessible to wider audiences.

Venice
In 2024, Monument debuted its European presence in Venice with a major exhibition of large-scale sculptures by leading Australian artists. Presented at the Giardini della Marinaressa and the Fondamenta dei Sette Martiri, this showcase was held in collaboration with the European Cultural Centre.
This milestone marked the start of Monument’s ongoing biennial commitment to celebrating Australian sculpture in one of the world’s most revered cultural capitals. Looking ahead, Monument remains dedicated to fostering international exchange and presenting boundary-pushing public art on the global stage.

Our Mission
Cultural Enrichment
The Monument Sculpture Award seeks artistic excellence by creating opportunities for sculptors to showcase their work internationally. Through curated exhibitions and landmark events, we promote cross-cultural appreciation of contemporary sculpture on a global stage.
Global Reach & Artist Support
We support Australian and international artists through generous cash prizes, international exposure, and comprehensive logistical support—including shipping, installation, and insurance. Our touring exhibitions travel to major art hubs like Venice and Dubai, offering world-class recognition.
Visionary Exchange & Legacy
With plans to establish a network of sculpture exchange hubs across continents, we aim to foster a lasting global dialogue through art. By collaborating with institutions and hosting biennial events, we ensure contemporary sculpture remains central to cultural storytelling.
